TSO Runs Marathon

A few members of the Toledo Symphony participated in the 33rd annual Glass City Marathon this past weekend including Georg Klaas, Nancy Lendrim, Renee Goubeaux, Merwin Siu and Diana Anderson. Diana and Renee signed up for an "In Training" program thru the direction of Dave's Performance Footgear that involved them training all winter, snow or shine, four days a week, with runs any where from 3-10 miles and 8-20 miles over the course of 16 weeks. Ms. Anderson finished the race in 5 hours and Renee followed about 15 minutes later. Sarah Plaxton, sister of Symphony horn player Emilie Sargent, won the Master's Female race in 3 hours and 3 minutes. This was Sarah's first Glass City Marathon.

Not only did the musicians participate in the marathon that day, they later went on to play a performance that afternoon.
